Pattaya Launches First Sand & Art Festival on Beachfront
Pattaya has launched its first Sand & Art Festival, transforming its famous beachfront with large-scale sand sculptures, immersive projection mapping, light-and-sound installations and interactive activities. Running through Monday in front of Central Pattaya, the festival combines art, technology and local identity to create a new tourism experience and seaside attraction.
Pattaya is working to diversify its tourism appeal beyond nightlife and traditional beach activities. Events combining public art, technology, culture and family-friendly experiences can attract new visitor segments while creating highly shareable attractions that support hotels, restaurants, retailers and other local businesses.
The Pattaya Sand & Art Festival 2026 continues through Monday. Visitors can explore five major sand sculptures representing Pattaya and Thailand’s four regions, experience immersive sand-art mapping and the Sand Illuminated light-and-sound show, and participate in a “Sand in a Bottle” souvenir workshop.
