Japanese Film Sunset Sunrise Comes to Bangkok Ahead of 140 Years of Japan–Thailand Relations

The Embassy of Japan will screen award-winning Japanese film Sunset Sunrise at TK Park, CentralWorld, Bangkok, on October 25. Part of the 2026 Contemporary World Film Series, the event supports cultural programmes leading toward the 140th anniversary of Japan–Thailand diplomatic relations in 2027, with a reception afterwards.
The screening highlights the longstanding cultural relationship between Japan and Thailand. Directed by Yoshiyuki Kishi, the film combines comedy, romance and drama while exploring community, urban-rural differences, disaster management and social change during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The screening takes place Sunday, October 25, from 4:00–6:00 PM at TK Park on the 8th floor of CentralWorld. A reception will follow. Reservations can be made by email at filmforum17@gmail.com
