US and Iran Exchange New Strikes as Conflict Widens
The United States launched another round of strikes against Iranian military targets after an attack on American forces in Jordan. Iran also returned fire as fighting connected to control of the Strait of Hormuz continued. The latest escalation follows the collapse of an interim effort intended to move both sides toward ending the conflict.
