India, Thailand Deepen Air Force Cooperation Through Junior Officers Exchange
An Indian Air Force junior officers delegation visited Thailand from August 17–23, 2026, under the Junior Officers Exchange Programme. The delegation engaged with the Royal Thai Air Force at its headquarters, Flying Training School and Wing 41, focusing on understanding operations and strengthening professional ties between younger officers of both air forces.
The exchange strengthens the growing India–Thailand defence relationship by building direct connections between the next generation of military leaders. Such programmes improve mutual understanding, professional knowledge and interoperability while supporting broader strategic cooperation between the two countries.
The professional relationships developed through the exchange can support future India–Thailand air force cooperation, training exchanges and defence engagement. It also complements wider military ties between the two countries, including bilateral exercises and regular defence exchanges.
