“Love on Earth” Festival Showcases Thailand’s Sustainable Tourism Drive

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will host the “Love on Earth” festival at TAT Eco Park in Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 6–7 September 2025, reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to sustainable tourism and global standards in green event management. Entry is free of charge.

TAT Governor, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, remarked, “The Love on Earth festival reflects Thailand’s strong dedication to sustainability. By blending local culture, creativity, and eco-innovation, we aim to inspire visitors—both Thai and international—to adopt responsible travel practices that create long-lasting value for communities while safeguarding the environment.”

Guided by the Green Event framework and themed Green Vibes, the festival supports Thailand’s national goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero by 2065. Measures include renewable energy, recyclable materials, waste reduction, and community-driven tourism. The Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO) will certify the event as Carbon Neutral.

Six Green Activity Pillars

  • Green Recreation: Yoga, wellness activities, and camping designed to reduce carbon footprints while fostering health and relaxation.

  • Green Music: Live performances powered by renewable energy and efficient systems.

  • Green Art: Photography, sculptures, land art, and eco installations using natural or recycled materials, plus interactive eco workshops.

  • Green Food: Local award-winning cuisine made with organic and sustainably sourced ingredients, with cooking demonstrations by top chefs.

  • Green Learning & Green Society: Sustainability exhibitions, waste management workshops, and CSR activities like tree planting and recycling.

  • Green Tourism: Showcasing eco-certified hotels, sustainable tour operators, and creative community-based travel options, including low-carbon one-day Khao Yai trips.

Through “Love on Earth,” TAT seeks to position Thailand as a global role model for responsible tourism, encourage quality visitor spending, and promote enterprises that champion environmental and social responsibility.
